FAQ
When does the new Budget season begin and when does it end?
The Budget season begins in July and ends the following June. June is the reconciliation month and any balance left on the account must be paid in full by the end of June.
When can I sign up?
Applications are accepted June 1st thru September 30th of each year.
How do I sign up for the Budgetpay program?
A Budgetpay packet can be requested by contacting either your local office or by calling the Budgetpay office at (800) 343-7868 or (541) 887-8978. You must sign the agreement and return it to either your local office or the Budgetpay office. Applications may be mailed, emailed, or dropped off in person by September 30th each year in order to be considered for Budgetpay. Applications received after September 30th will not be eligible for the current Budgetpay year.
What products qualify for Budgetpay?
Propane, dyed kerosene, and dyed diesel used for heating purposes all qualify for Budgetpay.
How is my monthly payment calculated?
While there is no exact science, we take past usage history for the tanks that are on the Budgetpay program along with the expected weather forecast for the year to help determine fuel consumption. We then take that consumption and multiply it by the estimated fuel cost for the coming year. That number is then divide by 11 to get your monthly payment. For new customers with no history we use averages for the area along with information about what the fuel is used for to create the monthly payment.
Does it cost to be on Budgetpay?
There are no additional fees or charges for being on the Budgetpay program.
What is Propane Price Protection?
Propane Price Protection or PPP is a locked in price for your propane usage for the season. This price will not go up or down with market pricing and you are guaranteed that price all season.
Can I sign up for autopay if I am on Budgetpay?
Yes, we encourage our customers to sign up for autopay. Since the same payment is due each month, being on autopay assures you will not miss a payment.
What happens if I owe at the end of the Budget Pay Season?
$50 dollars can roll over to the next year's plan but the balance would need to be paid to be able to re-enroll for next year.
What happens if I have a credit at the end of the season?
Any credit is rolled over to the next season and will help reduce your monthly payment or you can request a refund for any part of the balance before the new season starts.
How do I renew my Budgetpay for next year?
If your account is in good standing, your Budgetpay account will renew automatically. The June 15th statement will show what your new payment for the following year will be. If you are on autopay thru Ed Staub & Sons Petroleum, your payment will automatically be changed to the new amount.
Who do I contact to ask more questions?
